The Horse Powered Reading program is tailored to individual student needs from pre-readers to high school students.
Struggling readers have a place at the farm with our horses. Horses don’t judge and can give our students the space they need to relax, trust and grow.

HPR activities include: Working on sounds, sight words, and word families (Word Herds!), and integrating weekly vocabulary words, subjects, and/or books that the student is interested in.
Kathy says, "I have found that the farm creates a safety net around the students so they can learn new things, make and correct mistakes, and have fun! I’m seeing student flexibility, problem solving, creativity, and openness."
